It's alive!

With the use of some stock artwork, and a cool stripe graphic generator, the new completely-done-from-scratch green grungy theme is alive and kicking. I still need to work on some sections, such as the homepage, as it seems a little 'sparse' at the moment.

Project TINT is officially discontinued

The end is here. I've oficially stopped working on Project TINT altogether. TeamSpeak 3.x includes an overlay, as does recent versions of Ventrilo. TINT, as well as the now many other overlay projects, have shown that there was a need for such a solution, and it's good to see that the torch is being carried officially by now built-in solutions.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

Now, onto other projects. Watch this space!

Drupal Views - awesome and powerful

I've just managed to rejig the Portfolio Page on the site using a custom Content Type for each Portfolio entry, and then using Views to format and display them. I thought that maybe to get the desired result, I may have to write some custom theme code or something, but no - not a single line of code written thus far!

Admittedly, I will have to style the output better, but it's certainly made the job a whole lot easier!

TINT BETA R6 is now available. It's a maintenance release, addressing only a few minor bugs and making the TS3 Helper Plugins compatible with TeamSpeak 3 Client 3.0.1 Grab it here.

Keyboards

So, in my new job, I got led to my new workstation, only to find myself confronted with a keyboard that I've previously used and that, above all others, just felt "wrong" - a Microsoft Comfort Curve keyboard. I wanted to replace it right away, but alas, no other USB spares were available. (read on)

So onwards to phase two of plan Drupal. Today I decided that the basic editor won't do, so decided to integrate TinyMCE, and to sort out a way of uploading images 'the easy way'

qbnut.com's conversion to Drupal

I've decided that, given I've just taken a new job that's going to involve a lot of work with Drupal, that I should refresh myself and get more "au fait" with the new version 7. Therefore, I decided to do what any mad person would do, and convert their own homepage as a test case. So, qbnut.com has been ported from WordPress to Drupal :O
